The City Council of the City of
Taylor met on July 31, 2008 at City Hall, 400 Porter St., Taylor, Texas. Mayor Hortenstine declared a quorum and called the special meeting to order at 6:00
p.m. with the following present:

Salvato, City Manager
Council Member Bernabe Gonzales Assistant City Manager, Jim Dunaway
Council Member Don Hill City Attorney, Ted Hejl
Council Member John McDonald City Clerk, Susan Brock
REGULAR AGENDA –
REVIEW/DISCUSS & CONSIDER/ACTION:
ESTABLISHING A RATE FOR A MUNICIPAL DRAINAGE UTILITY SYSTEM (MDUS).
Mayor Hortenstine reminded all those in attendance that this special
meeting was a workshop to continue discussion on the feasibility of
establishing a Municipal Drainage Utility System and there would be time for
public input when public hearings are scheduled as the process moves forward. Mr.
Salvato presented additional information regarding options available for
funding capital improvement drainage projects and the effect each option would
have on residents, commercial customers, and the budget. Council requested
staff bring back a prioritized list of the projects based on most immediate
need and took no other action.
BUDGET WORKSHOP II FOR FY 2008/2009.
Mr. Salvato and staff presented additional information regarding the FY
2008/2009 proposed budget for consideration.
With no further business; Mayor Hortenstine adjourned the meeting at 8:00
