The City Council of the City of Taylor met for a special meeting on July 25, 2006, at City Hall, 400 Porter St. , Taylor, Texas.  Mayor Gonzales declared a quorum and called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. with the following present:

 

Mayor Pro Tem Donald Hill                                City Manager, Frank Salvato

Council Member Rod Hortenstine                      Assistant City Manager, Jim Dunaway

Council Member Ella Jez                                     City Clerk, Susan Brock

 

REGULAR AGENDA – REVIEW/DISCUSS & CONSIDER/ACTION:

1.  EXECUTIVE SESSION.  THE TAYLOR CITY COUNCIL WILL CONDUCT A CLOSED EXECUTIVE MEETING UNDER SECTION 551.072 OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE IN ORDER TO DELIBERATE REGARDING ACQUISITION OF REAL PROPERTY.
Mayor Gonzales met with Council in Executive Session.

 

2.  CONSIDER ACTION ON EXECUTIVE SESSION.

Mayor Gonzales resumed the open meeting at 8:06 a.m. and stated that no action was taken during the deliberations in Executive Session.  Mayor Pro Tem Hill moved that City Staff proceed with a contract to purchase property from the Williamson County Grain Company to be used as parkland and to extend the boundaries of Robinson Park.  Council Member Hortenstine seconded the motion.  VOTE:  Four voted AYE.  Motion passed.


ADJOURN
