REGULAR AGENDA –
REVIEW/DISCUSS & CONSIDER/ACTION:
CORPORATE AIRPORT HANGAR AGREEMENTS AND SITES.
Mr. VanTil presented a request from a private individual to build a
corporate hangar at the airport. Fordtex Aviation is interested in building a
7500-9000 square foot facility to house a corporate plane, office, and workshop
as part of an avionics business they are interested in locating in Taylor. Currently, the sites available for construction include four locations. One of
those sites includes part of the ground lease area that Mr. Brundage has with
the City. Mr. Brundage has agreed to release a portion of his current ground
lease for Mr. Ford to construct his new hangar and the Airport Advisory Board
supports this proposed project. Mr. Michael Dayon was present to represent
Fordtex and asked the Council to consider extending at least a 30 year lease to
their firm once the building is complete. Council agreed to refund Mr.
Brundage a portion of his prepaid annual lease and staff recommended a reduced
square footage rate for the Fordtex business portion of the hangar in exchange
for the potential increase in sales tax to the City.
Mayor Pro Tem McDonald moved that Site #4 and Alternate Site #3 and the rental
agreement with Brundage Aviation be approved as presented. Council member Jez
seconded the motion. VOTE: Five voted AYE. Motion passed.

Sheriff Wilson was unable to attend due to illness.
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
