The Planning division is responsible for ensuring that development is consistent with the community’s vision through the implementation of the City’s development policies including the comprehensive plan, and the zoning and subdivision ordinances.

I have questions about developing my property

If you would like to meet with the City’s development review committee (DRC) to ask questions about developing a property in the City or its extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) you may schedule a meeting by emailing planning@taylortx.gov.

The DRC consists of representatives from the Building, Engineering, Fire, Planning and Public Works departments. This group meets with property owners and prospective developers each week on Wednesday mornings by appointment.
