Strategic Plan

Overview
The City Council adopted a Strategic Plan in 2020 to guide City Staff in developing programs and strategies for the good of the community.  Future management of growth issues and budget decisions will be guided by these goals and strategies which will be reviewed and updated annually.

For reference to previous ones adopted, here are the plans from 2008 and 2015.


TEEX Community Development Strategic Plan
The Taylor Economic Development Corporation, the City of Taylor, Taylor ISD and the Taylor Chamber of Commerce also recently partnered on a Community Development Strategic Plan, surveying residents regarding their priorities for these entities.  The TEEX Action Plan is located here.  The entire plan is located here.

April 14, 2015 update on progress made by the City.   


Strategic Facility Plan 



In 2017, the City Council commissioned Sledge Engineering, LLC to produce a Strategic Facility Plan for council to use in assessing all city facilities and to evaluate the city infrastructure.  This document will be used in planning future facility needs by providing recommendations for short term (5 year) and long term (20 year) capital improvements. .
