Overview of Renaming Streets
From time to time the city has a need or desire to rename existing streets or to establish names for new streets within the city limits. This process involves a public hearing, thirty day comment period, and the introduction and approval of an ordinance.

 West Side of Airport

The City Council aprpoved a 30 day comment period from March 23rd to April 25 for naming certain streets within the City of Taylor.  Streets being considered are located in the John O. Baker Subdivision, immediately behind the Davita Dialysis Center at 3100 W. 2nd Street. (Map)
 
Proposed names:

• Wing Street
• Taxiway Avenue
• Runway Avenue

Ordinance 2012-12 was introduced on March 22, 2012 and may be adopted after a public hearing on April 26, 2012.

Southeast Side

The City Council approved another 30 day comment period from April 12 to May 15 for renaming CR400 to Palomino Trail.

Ordinance 2012-13 was introduced on April 12, 2012 and may be adopted after a public hearing on May 24, 2012.
