Overview
- An Internet connection is available for public use on 21 computers.
- The Library provides library materials and services to support the informational, educational, and recreational needs of our citizens.
- Our collection includes 32,951 books, over 1,000 paperbacks, and 900 audio books on tape.
- The Story of Taylor Public Library 1899 – present
- The Taylor Public Library is located in Taylor, Texas about 40 miles northeast of Austin.
- We have a friendly, helpful staff waiting to assist you at the library. Contact the Staff.

Library Mission Statement
The mission of the Taylor Public Library is to promote a life-long love of reading and to provide educational, informational, and recreational resources to patrons of all ages and of all cultural and economic backgrounds.
Library Activities
- An AARP Income Tax Assistance program is available at the library to provide income tax preparation assistance each year beginning in February and continuing through April.
- Our Story Time is the each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
- Our Summer Reading Program lasts approximately 8 weeks each summer. It includes a Read-To-Me Program. Eight special programs are Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. There are prizes, and awards for all participants.
