The Taylor Police Department is proud to partner with the National Association of Town Watch in the 33rd Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
National Night Out involves over 38.3 million neighbors across 16,728 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. National Night Out 2016 is expected to be larger than ever!
National Night Out is designed to:
-Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
-Generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts
-Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnership
-Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The Taylor Police Department invites all neighborhoods in Taylor to participate in the 33rd annual National Night Out event by hosting a neighborhood block party. Together we can "Take a Bite out of Crime!"

As of 9-19-16, there are 16 homes in Taylor that still have unmet needs from the 2015 Memorial Day floods - this includes 3 total rebuilds.

Join the Taylor Fire Department along with Taylor Police and Williamson County EMS for the 4th Annual Taylor Fire Dept. Open House.
Station 1 - 200 Washburn Street in Taylor.
Fire Prevention Week this year focuses on checking your smoke detectors - "Don't Wait, Check the Date!" So TFD will be offering information of smoke detectors and providing fun activities for kids of all ages.
Tours of the station will take place and there will be free hot dogs & drinks.

Operation Red Santa is a joint effort between The Taylor Fire Department and Taylor Professional Firefighter’s Association to ensure Taylor area children have toys for Christmas and their families have food for a holiday dinner.
Applications will only be available for pick up and completion at City Hall on Oct. 29 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All applicants must provide:
-Proof of Residency (a photocopy of your Driver's License AND a photocopy of a recent utility bill)
-Time to conduct a short interview with a Program Manager to determine eligibility
-Someone at home on December 24th between 8 and 10:30 a.m. to receive delivery
NOT eligible: Anyone who has received assistance from Red Santa for 2 consecutive years

Join us in Historic Downtown Taylor for the 4th Annual Main Street Car Show and Street Dance. This year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever! Live Music, BBQ, Texas Craft Beer, Costume Contest, and Street Dance. Classic cars, Muscle cars, Exotics, Trucks, Vans, Novelties, Rat Rods, Motorcycles and more will be lining the Historic Downtown Taylor streets. (Vehicle Registration is FREE!!! This event is also FREE to the public. There will be live music performances all day. Truck or Treating is welcomed. Be sure to stick around after hours for the Street Dance on Main Street beginning at 5 p.m.
The Car Show is from 10am-4pm (Awards will be given out, with no specific classes)
Street Dance is from 5pm-11pm
