I was pleased to be part of the official ribbon cutting for the Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) at the newly revitalized West End Building on Friday, Feb. 25. I am also proud that the City of Taylor played a part in helping the revitalization of this historic building come to fruition.
In 2019, Council approved a 380 Agreement with Lone Star Circle of Care to revitalize the building. As part of the revitalization, the building will be used for Project Headwaters.
This program will offer medical, health, and social services for residents regardless of their financial circumstances or health insurance status. The City also donated land along Doak Street that LSCC will use for an urban garden. The revitalization of the building and Project Headwaters will be an incredible asset to the residents of Taylor.
