After receiving a grant in 2017 for improvements to Fannie Robinson Park, the City of Taylor staff and officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new splash pad at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 6. The park is located at 206 S. Dolan St. The public is invited to attend.
Other recent improvements at the park include a concrete overlook spot, installation of new fencing at the ball field, and grading of the ball field.
Fannie Robinson Park was named after a lifelong resident, at the urging of Dr. James Dickey in 1995. The park land was obtained by the City of Taylor in 1939.
