Update July 7, 2017:  The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) has notified city staff that the paint striping work was postponed from earlier this week, with a tentative reschedule date of Sunday night, July 9.

Original story: TXDOT continues its work on paving of Highway 95 / Main Street in Taylor, which will cause certain lane closures this week.

Striping work and joint repairs will be done overnight Wednesday, July 5 beginning at 8 p.m. and Thursday night, July 6 at 8 p.m., until 5 a.m. the following mornings. Moving lane closures are expected on northbound and southbound sides, from Second Street to Johnson Street. All downtown parking areas will need to be clear for the work to proceed.

Please be cautious when driving near the TXDOT workers for their safety and yours. Thank you for your patience as this highway paving makes better roads to travel on.
