2016 Parks Master Plan

The City of Taylor Parks and Recreation Department produced an updated Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan, with the assistance of Langford Community Management Services that was approved by City Council on July 28, 2016.

By updating the parks master plan, Taylor becomes more competitive when applying for state grants for park projects. This allows us to stretch already tight budgets to maximize resources. This is vital as we try to ensure that our parks and recreational resources remain on-par with our surrounding communities.

Taylor has a plan for the future use of our parks, and a road map to developing the recreational programming our community needs.

The process included:

  • An online and hard copy citizen input survey
  • Two public meetings (One stand alone and one in conjunction with a parks board meeting) Public Meeting held July 20th at 6:00pm at Taylor City Hall.
  • An updated review and inventory of current park amenities

Thank you to those who completed the survey and participated in the process. Your input is greatly appreciated.
