The Taylor Fire Dept. will once again be hosting the Citizens Fire Academy starting Feb. 22, 2016. The course will be 12 weeks in length and will meet on Mondays and 2 Saturdays.
The Citizens Fire Academy is a support group made up of graduates of the CFA who help to meet the needs of the Taylor Fire Department during responses to emergencies, day or night. CFA participants attend a rigorous three month course designed to teach them the tools and necessary skills that will enable them to fill their critical role in helping the TFD.
Currently, the TFD Response Support Team consists of 6 Taylor citizens who graduated from CFA last April.
