Robert Garcia

Robert Garcia was elected to the District 4 Council position in May, 2016. His current term expires in May, 2019. 

Robert joined the U.S. Army Reserves while still in high school in Sandusky, Michigan.  He graduated in 1992 and attended Baker College of Business.  Robert is a U. S. Army veteran and was stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas.  He has been a resident of Taylor since 1994 and has been married for over 21 years to Leslie  who is a life-long Taylorite.  They have a daughter, Alessandra and a son, Sergio.  Robert currently works for the City of Austin as a Facility Services Supervisor.

Robert is the founder of G21: “Giving in the 21st Century” Car Club.  He hosts a monthly car show in downtown Taylor to raise awareness and funds for numerous, local organizations in Taylor and the surrounding areas. Robert is also a member of the Knights of Columbus and several other ministries at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.
