Kennel Technician - Part Time (Average 19-20 hours/week)
Responsible for maintaining animal's safety, health, and sanitary facility for sheltered animals.  Provide for the wellbeing of all animals' nutrition, housing and basic medical needs on a daily basis.  Customer Service & assistance to the public.  Admitting and adopting out animals.  Promote good pet ownership to new pet owners.  Performs routine clinical procedures and any other related clerical duties as required.  Will be required to work Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.  Hours are flexible.

Notice of Civil Service Examination for Firefighter/EMT
Responds to fires, and other emergencies, sustains a high level of preparedness for emergencies, maintains vehicles and equipment for fire suppression/prevention and other duties.  Subject to call-back for emergencies, special training on other administrative reasons.  All applicants must meet the MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR FIREFIGHTERS outlined by the Local Government Code Civil Service Chapter 143.  Eligible candidates desiring to take this entrance examination shall submit their application packet to the Human Resources Department by January 11, 2017, 5:00 p.m.  Failure to return the application packet by the above date shall render the candidate ineligible to take the examination.

Equipment Operator I 
The City of Taylor is seeking two qualified applicants for an Equipment Operator I.  This position maintains City's Streets, Parks and Right of Ways in a safe, effective, and efficient manner.  Duties include: operating construction equipment, heavy machinery and repairing, maintaining facilities and equipment.  Maintenance of streets, parks, curb & gutter systems, Storm sewer systems and street signage.  Must be available to work overtime and be "On Call" as assigned by supervisor.

Athletic Field Technician (Sports Complex)
The City of Taylor seeks an Athletic Field Technician for the Sports Complex.  This person performs turf maintenance, equipment operations and other tasks related to the preparation and maintenance of City athletic fields; coordinate and conduct work required to maintain athletic fields at Sports Complex and preventive maintenance of facilities including restrooms and concession stands and applicable equipment.  Supports the Crew Leader in managing the day to day activities with the overall upkeep and maintenance of sports field, as well as additional facilities in the parks system, including pavilions, tennis/basketball courts and city pools.

Crew Leader I (2 positions open)
The City of Taylor is seeking qualified applicants for Crew Leader I in the Utility Maintenance Department.  This position will supervise a crew, and participate in troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all aspects of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in order to insure public health and safety; while maintaining compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) rules and regulations.

Senior Engineer
The City of Taylor seeks applicants for the position of Senior Engineer.  This position is responsible for a variety of highly technical and specialized engineering, administrative and inspection related duties for City projects, and public works administration and plan review for public and private development projects, meeting with the Development Review and Planning & Zoning Committees and perform site inspections for compliance with plan specifications.  May serve as City Engineer.
