Mission Statement
The role of the Streets Maintenance Division is to ensure the maintenance and repair of city streets, drainage ways, alleys, street signs and pavement markings within the right of way of the city limits of Taylor. The division also supports the annual spring clean up program.
Responsibilities
The Street Department of the Public Works Division provides maintenance and responds to citizen inquiries for city roadways in a timely, cost-effective, polite and responsible manner.

- Street Repairs
- Drainage Maintenance
- Street Sign Repairs
- School Zone Flashers
- Broken Tree Limbs: The city will only remove broken trees and limbs that are in the roadway, and sidewalks if they are interfering with traffic.
- Street Lights Out: You can report damaged or inoperative street lights by contacting us at 512-352-5818 or 1-888-313-4747.
- Annual Citywide Cleanup: The city conducts a citywide cleanup in the spring each year.
