  • The Library provides library materials and services to support the informational, educational, and recreational needs of our citizens.
  • Our collection includes 32,951 books, over 1,000 paperbacks, and 900 audio books on tape.

  • The Taylor Public Library is located in Taylor, Texas about 40 miles northeast of Austin.

Library Mission Statement
The mission of the Taylor Public Library is to promote a life-long love of reading and to provide educational, informational, and recreational resources to patrons of all ages and of all cultural and economic backgrounds.

Library Activities
  • An AARP Income Tax Assistance program is available at the library to provide income tax preparation assistance each year beginning in February and continuing through April.
  • Our Story Time is the each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. 
  • Our Summer Reading Program lasts approximately 8 weeks each summer. It includes a Read-To-Me Program. Eight special programs are Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. There are prizes, and awards for all participants.
